Lemonade
Print RecipeIngredients
- 1¾ cups white sugar
- 1 cup water
- 9 medium lemons, or more as needed
- 7 cups ice-cold water
- Ice (as needed)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, mix sugar and 1 cup of water. Place over medium-low heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Take off the heat source and place it aside to cool down for 10 minutes.
- Roll the lemons on your counter to soften them in the meantime. Slice each lemon in half lengthwise, then press the juice out into a measuring cup. Add the pulp; throw away the seeds. Once you have 1½ cups of fresh juice and pulp, keep juicing. Add sugar/water mixture.
- Add remaining 7 cups of chilled water into a pitcher. After adding, stir the mixture well, then taste and add simple syrup as needed.
- Pour over ice and serve, or put in the fridge to chill for a few hours before serving.
